Feb 7, 2014- Engagement Party

By Melody Warren - 9:24:00 PM

Hello Followers!

Hope your Wednesday was great! Today at work, we wrapped up the second day of a workshop and I am continuing to learn and soak in all of the information that I can. After sitting for 2 days straight, I NEEDED to get moving today. So I laced up my shoes and worked out with Terrance and it made me feel great!

We are almost done with our catch up posts, so I wanted to share some of our memories and photos from our Engagement Party. On Friday February 7th, Terrance and I were lucky enough to have an engagement party with our friends and family. First, we had dinner at Mi Luna with about 50 guests. We got to enjoy great food, great wine, great speeches from our friends, and great company. After Mi Luna, we went to the West End for our after party and met up with even MORE friends and family.

Seriously though, how blessed are we? Our entire engagement has been so surreal and humbling. We have found out how loved we are and it is just such a positive, happy time in our lives.

Just like our engagement pictures, Mercedes did an amazing job taking pictures at our party. Enjoy!

Until next time! Xoxo!

Engagement Pictures

By Melody Warren - 8:14:00 PM

Happy Monday!

In keeping with the spirit of catch up, I wanted to share our engagement photoshoot. Our sweet friend, Mercedes, offered to shoot our pictures and we immediately took her up on it. We met her on a Sunday afternoon in downtown Houston and shot these pictures that we will cherish forever and ever. Enjoy!

2014 with Mrs. Soon-to-be Warren

By Melody Warren - 7:26:00 AM

Oh Hello!

Remember me?!? Remember my blog?!? I hope we are still friends.

Anyone who knows me personally, knows that the later part of 2013 was a little crazy, and I have neglected my blogging. To me, blogging is a public diary. I am able to share my thoughts, feelings, and activities through this outlet, and hopefully be an inspiration to someone who needs it.

Now with that being said, lets catch up! A lot has happened since the last time I posted. We have settled in at the Fairmont, I no longer work for Travel Leaders, and most importantly, TERRANCE AND I GOT ENGAGED!!!!!

On December 18, at around 10pm, I came home to our apartment and found an amazing surprise.

I open the door and this is what I see. Lights off, Rose Petals, and candles. I can hear Terrance but can't see him. He tells me "drop your stuff and come here". I am already in tears and nothing has even happened yet. So, I drop my stuff and make my way towards our bedroom and find my Love Terrance standing there waiting for me. He is dressed up and calm as a cucumber while I continue to cry and realize what is about to happen. There are even more flowers and candles and amazingness. As I walk over to him, and tell him how handsome he looks, he begins to tell me so many sweet and amazing things. Then before I knew it, he was down on one knee asking me to be his wife. Of course, through my tears of joy and my screams of excitement, I said YES!!!!!! It was the best day of our lives and I will never, ever forget that day or that feeling. Here are some pics...

Oh! and as if the night couldn't get any better, Lourdes & Shannon were hiding in the bathroom the whole time!!!

All in all, the night was perfection and the very best night of our lives. More updates and regular blogging to come. Thanks for being patient!

Until next time! xoxo!

#NoHumbug Day 3

By Melody Warren - 12:25:00 PM

Happy Tuesday everyone!

We have reached Day 3 of the No Humbug challenge! Today's challenge was "Find a New Way to Get Sweaty".

I chose a morning workout with friends and some fun (and warm) knee high socks! Terrance trained Chris, Hailey and I at the YMCA this morning at 9am. We did some intense upper body and some abs and it felt great!

After the workout, I went and picked up our Turkey Trot information! Terrance and I will be starting our Thanksgiving weekend by doing the 21st Annual Turkey Trot! It will be COLD, but it will be well worth it! What are your Thanksgiving Day plans?

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday & stay warm!

Until next time! Xoxo

#NoHumbug Day 1

By Melody Warren - 11:43:00 AM

Hello!

Hope everyone had a lovely, relaxing weekend! Yesterday, Sunday November 24 was day 1 of the #NoHumbug challenge!

Day 1 of the #NoHumbug challenge was to "make breakfast in bed for someone you're sweet on". I took a little twist on this idea, and had brunch with my sweetie and some sweet friends!
