Hola!
Another fun and eventful weekend for the books! Friday night was started by attending my dear friend Sara Epstein's show at the Jet Lounge in downtown Houston. Like always, she did an amazing job. As her friend, and one of her biggest fans, I cant help but get emotional each time I go to her shows. She is one of the most talented people that I know and I can't wait until she is famous! Click on her name above and go buy her EP on iTunes!
Sweet Shanny and Sara after her show!
Shannon and Seth- Yay for new friends.
Me and the Rock Star. Love me some Seppy!
After Sara's show, the crew went to test our own singing skills at Spotlight Karaoke. The whole gang was there and we started busting out our 'go-to' songs. Not long after we were there, we realized that Caitlin had a fabulous doppleganger.
Guess the rest of us didnt get the Salmon pants and black shirt memo!
Saturday was a little more low key. After sleeping in, I joined Caitlin and Whitney for some sunbathing and gossip. They just moved into a new apartment, so this was a chance for me to see their new digs and work on my tan! It was super fun!
After our pool party, it was time to have a fight-watching party at Terrance's house. He and Charles bought the Mayweather V. Guererro fight on pay-per-view, so we all got to watch the fight in the comfort of his home and eat and drink and be merry! it was chill and fun.
Sunday morning, after waking up slightly hungover, I met my mom and Shelby at Brennan's for an early mother's day brunch. Brennan's has easily become one of my favorite places to be. Being with my mom is always a treat, but to spend time together in such a lovely setting is the best! The food, as always, was to die for and we got to enjoy the live music of the Sunday Jazz Brunch Band. Are we lucky, or what?
Mimosas, anyone?
Momma and I (and her bellini).
After our lovely brunch, I was off the The West End to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with my peeps.
Ole!
T was tired (and hungover) but still happy to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
Later that evening, Terrance took me to the movies. We went to see Pain and Gain and it was REALLY good! I recommend it.
Lastly, I want to do my Gratitude Journal for this weekend & today.
Something I am grateful for: My friends. I am grateful to have so many friends in different social circles who all get me. Each relationship is different and special and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The best part of my day/weekend: my surprise movie/date-night on Sunday night. Terrance always surprises me and makes me the happiest woman in the world.
Something I did nice for someone else: Today, while out to buy my lunch, I bought a snack for my boss and brought it back to her.
What are you all grateful for?
