A little inspiration to ease you into your weekend!

You know those days when you wake up with every intention to make today great? But after unexpected traffic on your morning commute and an annoying work email -  it's 9am and you’re already over it. Here, 7 secrets that you can do daily to boost your joy and build your impenetrable happy bubble.

SET A GOAL

Call it a to-do list (s), but organizing your brain for two minutes around a couple of must-do tasks can help you focus so you feel more accomplished (and happier) by the end of the day.

Practice gratitude

Jot down something positive versus focusing on all the things that made you feel unhappy. Because even the smallest thing — like something your hubby said or a call with your BFF —can work wonders when it comes to lifting your mood.

excerise

Doing at least 30 minutes of cardio every day isn’t just getting your booty in shape--it’s also releasing endorphins, which will keep you calm and happy. Remember the quote from Legally Blonde? "

PUT yourself FIRST

No matter how many kids or emails you have to tend to, me time is important. Think about it: You’ll probably feel a lot more patient with others if you’ve already had 30 luxurious minutes to do something that’s just for you, like scrolling on Instagram or getting a manicure.

eat Breakfast

Yep, hanger is real. If you go without a meal, it’s like you’re setting yourself up for irritability.

DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Just like skipping breakfast, dehydration (aka not drinking the recommended eight glasses a day) can definitely mess with your mood. So drink up!

sleep

Sleep is like the happiness holy grail. If you don’t get enough of it, you’re bound to be crankier. The trick? Set yourself a bedtime—and stick to it.

I hope you apply some of these tips to your lives! Have a great weekend!
