ATX Weekend

Happy Monday World!

I just wrapped up another amazing weekend and it was back to the real world today. We spent a fun weekend in Austin, Texas which included; a wedding, quality time with loved ones, birthdays, reuniting with old friends, 6th street shenanigans, Texas state history, and the over usage of the phrase "Keep Austin Weird".

A wedding is what brought us to ATX. My childhood friend, Kirby Viktorin, married her best friend Tommy on Saturday night at the Barr Mansion. The wedding, scenery, and people were beautiful. Kirby and Tommy had been dating for a long time, and I am so happy and thankful to be invited to watch them marry each other.

Here is Allison, Shannon and I after the ceremony.

Candid. Lots of love in this picture!

And in this one, too!

My handsome date!

Me and the beautiful bride! Love you Kirbs!

After the wedding, we went to 6th street. I had never been out on 6th street as an adult and it was super fun. Austin is an eclectic city with a small-town, southern vibe. We walked all up and down, went to a few bars and met up with one of my other childhood best friends, Mary-Margaret Malone! Marge and I have known each other since third grade and she was there to celebrate her birthday (it was April 28-Happy Birthday Marge). Love her so much and loved spending some time with her on Saturday night.

On Sunday, we had breakfast with Shannon and Allison before they headed back to Houston. Then we went to the State Capitol building. It was SO COOL! YeeHaw!

Some proud Texans!

After another memorable weekend, we gathered ourselves and headed back to h-town. I love adventurous, even if for just the weekend. I love making memories with people I love and learning and exploring new things.

Today, Monday April 29, was my bestie (Shannon Teal)'s birthday! I am wishing her all of the happiness and celebration in the entire world. She is my best friend, my partner in crime, and my sister. LOVE YOU SHANNON MARIE!

Here was me and Shannon celebrating her 21st birthday at her Parent's house.

Todays Gratitude Journal-
Something I am grateful for: My friendships. Each friend of mine is different and important. They push me to be the best me I can be and make my life wonderful.

The best part of my day: Waking up with Terrance. Those are the best moments.

Something nice I did for someone else today: Helped a new co-worker understand their new role and the YMCA (even though she isn't in my department).

Stay happy, grateful, and be an inspiration.
