STEVIE WONDER!
By Melody Warren - 2:14:00 PM
Happy Monday!
How was everyone's weekend? We normally have some pretty fun weekends, as you've seen here and here, but this one was particularly epic.
On Friday night, Terrance and I were lucky enough to attend Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key Of Life concert at the Toyota Center! Remember I talked about it a little last week? Thanks to our sweet friend Ryan Kilgore, we were able to experience this once in a lifetime concert. Also, our friends Mark and Meike were able to join us - they know Ryan as well, from attending our wedding last Fall.

Firstly, we had fantastic seats which made for a great view of the stage and a truly intimate concert experience. Stevie started the concert off by playing Love's in Need of Love Today and continued to play the remainder of the songs off of his Songs in the Key of Life album. At the end of the album's order, he played a few of his other classics and brought the house down! Throughout the concert, he would take turns featuring various band members. When he called Ryan up to play alongside him, our section went wild! It is so surreal to see your friend, the saxophonist from your wedding, playing alongside Stevie Wonder in front of 40,000 people at the Toyota Center. Now THAT is the definition of living your dreams.

After the concert, we were lucky enough to go backstage! Even though we didn't get to meet Stevie, we were lucky enough to see Ryan and commend him for his job well done!
Saturday was very rainy in Houston, so we took the day pretty easy - just running errands and doing typical weekend stuff. Later that night, T and I ventured to Cypress, TX and celebrated Sara and Steve's Couples Shower! Sara Epstein and I are sorority sisters and dear friends and I am so happy to celebrate her upcoming wedding to the love of her life!
Sunday was relaxing and much needed. T and I brunched and chilled all day. Ahhhh - it was nice.
Xoxo,
Mel
