Jewelry Crafts

This weekend I made a stop at my local Michael's craft store for some supplies for a craft I wanted to work on. A quick stop for one item turned into an hour long trip and supplies for 2 additional crafts ... oops?
Craft #1: A necklace and pendant with a piece of my wedding gown
I got the idea off of something similar I saw on Pinterest. As I said above, I got distracted in the craft store, found myself on the jewelry aisle, and was like "umm, I can totally make that wedding gown necklace pendant thingy". and here it is!
Overall, it was pretty easy. The hardest part was putting together the necklace. I wanted a longer chain, and just like Goldilocks, I couldn't find a chain that was juuuuuuust right. So I bought all of the supplies to make one myself.
The pendant was pretty easy, too. It comes with a plastic overlay piece, so after I put the piece of lace inside, I reinforced the plastic piece with some super glue and I was done!
Craft #2: A custom bracelet with me (M), my husband (T), and our baby's (C) first name initials.
This one was super easy. Found a bracelet that I liked, and the dangly charm letters, and BAM! Custom family bracelet! I love it!
Husbands: This is what happens when your wife is on the loose at a craft store. You've been warned! Now, just wait to see what the OTHER craft is that I have been working on! Hint: It's for my trip to Disneyworld next week!
Xoxo,
Mel
